Glad to see this version, but I've noticed a bug I hadn't seen before:
While a Rook up, with a score of +5, this version of Phalanx will walk into a 3-fold repetition, somehow.

thanks for the report. I never touched any of the original 3-fold-rep logic but I will take a look.
