It might even be worth a try asking Larry to bring back ..

Yes, UCI Rex Chess with Rybka evaluation, that would be nice :-).

BTW, I had a very nice time visiting Mainz the past few days, where the annual Chess Classics were held. Including the Chess960 (or Fischer Random Chess) world championships. There were even some chess computers present, so the visitors could give it a try to beat them. Amongst them the Citrine, the Obsidian and the Mephisto Challenger.

Highlight for me was the ladies championship, since yesterday I have become a fierce supporter of Victorija Cmilyte :-).

Rybka 3 regards, Jeroen

Hi,
I managed to play some games via autoplayer tonight against Hermann 2.3 2CPU. Hermann is listed with 2523 in CEGT.

Code: Select all

1 MChess 8 0½011½11½110½1½1½ 11.0/17
2 Hermann 2.3 2CPU 1½100½00½001½0½0½ 6.0/17
This indicates a rating between 2550 and 2600 is possible on a PC running 3,2 GHz

Nice! How did you manage to make the opening "fair"? The opening book that came with Mchess must be pretty old.

Hi,
I tried to make it as fair as possible:
I made a user book with MChess out of the 40/120 games from CEGT with 8 moves 8-)
