I too last purchased Fritz 6, it is time to upgrade :D

All the best

Murat:.
After they discontinued support for WB engines, instead of fixing the compatibility problems, I decided to not buy anymore chessbase products.

Hi !

Any WB engine works very well on Fritz 10 GUI using Wb2Uci adaptor !

I agree with you Sylwy. Most work seamlessly, although I've had problems with a very small number - Atlas and Matant come to mind.

Yes-you are right-they are some problems but a perfect & complex GUI isn't yet on market!

All the best,
Sylwy

Using an adapter created by someone else isnt my idea of support for a certain protocol. I prefer to play my engines with no adapters, with the amount of engines I play with that is way too many parameters to play around with to get each engine to play their strongest.

Hi Tony !

Even Shredder GUI-a very good one for both UCI & WB engines -uses Wb2Uci adapter.Fritz GUI offers -first of all- the full support-in a normal way-for the ChessBase protocol.

I have a better option. Why dont I just play with arena, it supports almost every single major engine except for Fritz and Junior. I wont be buying a chessbase product again until they start supporting winboard protocol without any adapters.
