I would be quite interested if you could post the FritzMark
(standalone program: http://www.jens.tauchclub-krems.at/dive ... chmark.zip )
Greetings Ernest,

If you are interested in computer hardware, here is the list of my components:

1 x Western Digital Raptor 74 GB, 16 MB Cache (Harddrive)
1 x Western Digital Raptor 74 GB, 8 MB Cache (Harddrive)

Computer has run 24/7 since I put it together at the start of October, and has not crashed yet. It runs at 3402 MHz.
Very nice Martin. Why won't you put those 2 Raptors in RAID 0?

Diff. Buffer but should still work faster.

I'm not using those disks for tablebase access. I have a seperate flashdrive for that, which is proved to be faster than a single raptor.

The raptors are only used for storage and operating system, but since they are so small in terms of capacity, I need both of them right now as separate disks. :)

I do think the Raptors in a RAID 0 configuration could give the flashdrive a run for the money, though.

We did some research on this in CCRL a while back. I can post the results here (Shaun Brewer posted this elsewhere as well I think), so you can see.

Ahh I see. Very nice.

I'm personally waiting on those super-fast SSD's that should come by later this year with lower prices.

Or maybe the Fusion IO. :P

Ah, a bug it is! Hopefully (it's difficult to test this without the proper hardware) it is fixed here:

On my slow-ish quad Opteron (your original exe)

1 CPU - about 450
4 CPU - about 1570

Scaling similar to Intel actually

Thanks Ray, it's a good result and I have some hope of improving it a little! :-)

Hi Thomas,
thanks for the feedback and glad to know it finally works! :-)

So the speedup on 8 CPU is about 5.1, not the greatest but not bad either, in fact I'm quite happy with it, thanks again! :D
