I do not know but I need to warn all the users that they cannot trust the single cpu version for analysis and I am not talking about wrong evaluation but about wrong search.

Of course, as I think you know, this was also pointed out to be a problem with Toga II 1.4 beta5c. To avoid it you'll have to avoid both of these stronger versions of Toga.

I have not taken a look yet at the code from Charles or done any comparisons, I just wanted to say something "en passant" about the crazy rook position from Vincent Lejeune that Uri posted, not getting a mate score with my own version, the problem in my eyes is much more serious if when you let Toga play this position and it can not find a draw (as somebody posted in the Rybka forum). Also with bitbases it only takes a few seconds to go to -40 and some GUIs like Shredder's UCI in engine match mode simply declares a loss if the other score, from the opponent's view, is very positive. In ChessPartner ERT you can set the value at which the GUI declares a game lost, that is a plus for CP. But I think this can cost ratingpoints when using bitbases

I think that a better solution may be to fix the code of Toga.
programs are not supposed to report mate scores when there is no forced mate and if they do it because of some pruning then the solution is to change the condition of pruning.
