Hey Dave, just kidding, don't get depressed,we'll get you the engine for the money you paid even if it takes to break through their server and grabbing it from there

This is the oddest software purchase i've ever made.
I'm not surprised, but as far as I understood, you did get a link for the download, and got the engine(?)

I got a download link for an installer, 1.47mb, but as far as i can tell it only installed Junior in the Dasher interface.

Can you spot the engine exe file in your hard disk somewhere and copy it to another location :?:

So it's integrated in the Dasher interface as a system file and if it's the case, then you won't be able to use it under other GUI's....
I hope to be wrong though :?

You "should" be wrong - it's supposed to be UCI...

So where is the UCI engine, the man has installed the Dasher interface, but no sign of a UCI Junior....

I want my money back,I mean Dave's money back

This is what i get when i run the installer ...

JUNIOR 10.1 FOR DASHER

This installer will add the Junior engine for Dasher

Clearly i didn't get an engine that can be used in any UCI-compatible interface, which is what is advertised and what i paid for.

Surely, since it's a weekend, that i will get a download link later for the uci engine.exe. False advertising is not legal. Any lawyers here?
