Yes, or at least less prone to error. Though it wouldn't be the first time a program is so accused.

Christophe,
With best respect for your own determination, many people as I am, a hooby player, same that specialists, proffesional chess players, need from great engines as Tiger has ever been.
I thing, that takes the challenger of build machines, in part for fun, can produce lower stress, and many time produce better scores.
Rybka 3 is now an inspiration to produce machines as an antidote against it. I would like to see an anti Rybka 3 machine, but I am not a person that can do that, only a person as you are, can do it, then we need from you.
My best,
Pablo
I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

Vas, do you have any kind of legal agreement that would allow you to release a work derived from Fruit under a non-GPL license?

Nope! Vas shouldnt do such nonsense because the stink as Graham wrote, must go on to blaim these 4 programmers until the end of their professional career, this is unbelievable stink, stunk. Against the speech already and the delusions Vas is like the Holy Saint!

Isn't that obvious?

If Rybka were derived from Fruit in a legal way due to some agreement, then the argument about it is pointless. Christophe's post makes no accusations; he is only trying to ask a simple question as it has been subject to speculation.
Perhaps I am slow. I could have sworn I read:

"Rybka is and was always completely original. He is aware there are rumours about Fruit for a long time but never really understood where they are coming from."

which would seem to say such speculation was baseless. Forgive my lack of understanding. In any case, if he really wanted a reply, he would either e-mail him, or post in the Rybka forums. AFAIK Vas doesn't read here at all.

Albert
Have you been following Bob's counter-arguments?
Counter-arguments? This isn't a debate about the meaning of life. If it's a copy, then it should be a simple affair to prove, otherwise....

Albert
It is not so simple. It takes a lot of work. Zach and CT have done quite a bit, there is more left. What has been uncovered so far is certainly troubling to anyone that deals in the issue of program plagiarism on a regular basis. It is a real problem, it takes real time to uncover transgressions, and it is simply wrong on any of several different levels.

Ah yes, more noise, no content. If you see a problem with that post, you are only having problems with your imagination and what you _wish_ it was saying... but don't let that stop you It will be interesting to see how many zero-content posts one person can make.

Wow, is that a loaded question. It would be similar in argument structure to this: Christophe, do have any king of legal agreement with the U.S. police to smoke crack cocain and use hookers?"

Same structure. The argument implies, or assumes, a potentially unethical behavior is occuring.

I would simply answer "No I don't" to your question, and so what?

I must have spent 45 minutes just to write my question in the most neutral way I could. There were other versions that were offensive and I realized it and tried to eliminate all implications.

I thought that maybe I was wrong to assume that something illegal happened, because I had simply failed to ask if permission had been given. After all, it is a possibility.

As I said, a positive answer to the question would probably stop all of this, so why not simply ask first?

I would not imply anything from a negative answer either.

Tell me, how should I reformulate the question?

" "
