I managed to hard code "perfomance.bin" as opening book name, so the name in mediocre.ini doesn't matter (unless it's "none" in which case no own book is used).

For now you can just rename whatever book you're using to "perfomance.bin" and place it in Mediocre's folder and it will be used.

Of course this will be fixed in the next release.

Alternatively, create a 0kb performance.bin and the opening moves will be played from the book you've loaded in the GUI.

Mediocre v0.34 has been released, can be downloaded from the sourceforge link in my signature below.

The polyglot problem has been fixed along with a bunch of other things.

It should play quite a bit stronger (if my predictions are correct).
