great engine ..i love playing against it..thanks for writing it

anyway..so you will play on the team then
good
thanks and have a nice day
Steve
I know we are hijacking this thread, but BigLion has NEVER had a book built into its EXE file.
There are no move sequences stored anywhere in there.

BTW, I will follow the match as GM (Gemuh Matthias), I am not equipped to be on the team. I suggest Dr Deeb Wael, Thorsten Czub, Jon Dart, etc.

surprised,
Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

then i have no idea why it will play a few book moves when i use BigLion in the Revelation?
there are only 4-5 UCI Engines that i have found that also play book moves
must have something to do with the Revelation UCI Server which is a separate Windows program written by Alain Zanchetta who also wrote CEBoard ..i can only load the EXE file into the server and not any seperate book files

as to your playing...
the nice aspect of games like this is that EVERYBODY can vote for a move..
so weak players like me can play on the same team with strong players like Dr D. and strong engine programmers like you

its settled then regards

as you know Chris the mods have been discussing this match for a few weeks now
i thought it would a good idea if one of the mods would act as the Team Captain ..a thankless task which entails having to come here every day and count up the moves and make the move on the Hiarcs forum before the time is up or the team can lose by time Forfeit

you have graciously volunteered for this job
so unless the members object you would be the Captain
however as it seems now..there might not even be a game due to lack of interest
i guess i will have the embarrassing job of having to decline the challenge when it comes in any day now

Sigh Regards

:P
how about a 3 day poll here to see if there is interest in accepting the challenge?
im not a good poll writer..i always include biased questions unintentionally
if i set up the poll it would look like this
SHOULD WE ACCEPT THE HIARCS CHESS CHALLENGE?
A)Of Course
B) Yes

maybe someone else should do it regards
