Any interest in a CCC forum vs chess960 engine match ?

BigLion is approx 2200 ELO on CCRL 40/40 standard chess list. Given the difficulty the forum is having against Steve's Tasc R30, about 2300 ELO, I reckon it is exactly the sort of level of engine we should be starting at first time round.

just a quick observation about the forum members play
it should be remembered that the forum started out with a pawn handicap and with the black pieces ..so its not as if the R30 achieved a strong position from equal conditions
i know next to nothing about 960 but i can say i enjoy playing BigLion when i load it into the Revelation
very human like play.. i never noticed it play strange pawn moves or moving pieces backwards to their starting squares(which seems to be a characteristic of at least some engines i have played )

BigLion's main problem is lack of search depth.

The game CCC forum vs Steve's Tasc R30 is great. No rules about CCC forum members using engines, but most are not and finding it a really fun match.

At some point, I wonder if the forum would like to challenge a chess960 engine run by me, something like Tornado or DanaSah perhaps, or even BigLion if the first two are too strong. Same informal approach, engines not prohibited but brainpower encouraged. Chess960 would really get the brains working right from the first move !

I'm prepared for little or zero interest....

I've always respected Bobby Fischer for his chess genius,but when it comes to Chess960 that he invented....I think that he was a total idiot....
