I registered and searched for posts by VR containing the keyword "Ippolit", "Robbo" or "Robo".

No matches. Not surprising because the name is banned there.

No posts by VR in the Ippo thread mentioned on the sticky message.

No Thread about that clone engines ín the Forum.

So please would someone be so kind to point me to VR's statement?

Should we be sick? Are you sick, Graham?
You are not a moderator and don't have to read every thread and every post.
For example, I use to throw a glance at nearly every thread, but am actually reading only a
few posts, mainly those from people whose opinion I usually find interesting.
Long posts of some members with their usual crap and vacant content I don't open at all.

I voted an emphatic "no". I am NOT (yet) sick of it. But that might be because I don't read it all.
I'm certainly not sick of the idea that there maybe something free stronger than Rybka 3.

That's what the poll is asking.

Hi Graham,

I can't vote:
Message: Your account does not meet the minimum requirements to vote.

My voting is "yes" !!

Perhaps it will be a good idea to open in CCC a "clone" selection. Here the users can added also his clone tourneys ... robbo x - robbo y, clone discuss and so on.

Let us see in with selection more messages will be add by members.

I think that the "art of computer chess" can be losed with to many clone discuss in computer chess fora.

Have a nice weekend!

Best
Frank

Not really Graham, look at the heading you have given it. On the subject of headings, it looks like Rolf's could be portentous.

Hmm, the name of the clone/cloner is not mentioned...
It is clear he is talking about it. They just don't want the name in the forum to prevent people from finding it.

The only thing VR is saying is: Someone decompiled Rybka and told him by mail.

Reading this statement it looks like he is just guessing it is done by the Ippolit authors.

VR: "there was no real attempt to hide the cloning"

Then there should be obvious similaries, where are they?

Well I asked directly in the Rybka forum. We will see what they answer.
