Comments:
The 5th game of Round 2 just finished; with yet another white win, the 5th in a row.

Shredder made a Queen-side attack and basicall controlled the game from the beginning after Scorpio couldn't find the best defense. A solid game by Shredder who is now on 2/2.

After this game I decided to remove the opening book and instead use a pure ECO-based opening suite made from a PGN with 250 openings for the rest of the tournament and for my upcoming tournaments. Also this will ensure that the same opponents gets to meet each other with both white and black in the same opening. Starting now, the games will only be available in the PGN .zip I will make after each round is complete. I will, however, continue to post the end position after each game.

The last game of Round 2 just finished; with yet another white win. So we have 6 of 6 white wins in this round.

Seems Zappa played a magnificent game against the new Naum, ending up with a Queen vs Rook + pawn which was more than enough for securing the victory.

The third game of Round 3 is finished. It was an interesting battle between the only single-CPU engine in the tournament, Komodo, and the four core beast Stockfish. The latter eventually wore Komodo down, but for a little while there I thought the former would hold on.
