What is the most important thing in an engine for you?

Critter is a fine program and I take that as a compliment.

Critter is very close in strength to Komodo, but the search is completely different. If you play a fast game Critter will dominate and crush, but if you get past 1 or 2 minutes I think Komodo has the edge - but at any rate there is not enough difference in ELO to get very excited about.
Capital punishment would be more effective as a preventive measure if it were administered prior to the crime.

What I would really like to see is a chess program package that can also offer Omega Chess, which should not be too difficult to modify and it should be able to beat a GM like Judit Porgal as it is shown here:

PS: I believe that even without an opening book, which has not been develop, nor there is any Omega Chess engine in existence yet, a version of Omega Chess should play like a 2750 using today strong computer.

You should be the second to create an Omega Chess GUI and chess engine integrated with Big Lion in the same package. I don't think that it would be too difficult to add this two extra pieces and make changes to how the pawns move at the opening plus the movement of the two extra pieces.
