What are these two engines? One is Komodo 4 MP, right? What is the other one?

Thanks
No....Komodo is not one of them

Patience people,patience....
Dr.D
I think the two engines you are referring to are Strelka and Critter.

But Richard Vada has already said that the next Critter will not be much stronger and Strelka...well....um....it's kinda like Houdini 1.5
Patience is a virtue they say :D

I believe that the best chances is not for komodo but for rybka5 but my guess is that houdini is going to be the best engine at the end of 2012.
No it won't....

Robert is just bluffing....

He's seeking every opportunity to look into other chess engines anatomy trying to find something to snatch and adapt it to Houdini....

Robert is pretty much like Hollywood nowadays....he's running out of ideas
Dr.D
I agree entirely. The last engine was having ideas stolen Chiron. Look at the use of bases scorpions.

Houdini is a work of Frankenstein. Copying parts of other engines. Ideas copied and whose sources are not cited. When its author want some new idea, copies of other engines. See latest news for Houdini. Nothing but the copy of scorpions bitbases Chiron.

Would you please stay on topic, because I asked nothing about Houdini?
I asked about what you wrote about Chiron and Scorpio and I still have no clue what you mean.
Who stole what from whom in your opinion?

Carlos can clarify, but I believe he is referring to the fact that Houdini 3 will make use of 5-man Scorpio bitbases, as Chiron already does. Carlos seems to feel that Robert Houdart's decision to incorporate this feature into Houdini somehow represents "theft" from Chiron. But perhaps I'm misunderstanding his posts.

Well, the Scorpio egbb were made for use in other programs and a lot of programs used them looong before Chiron.
Thus it makes no sense in multiple ways, what we both know. Therefore I tried to ask for clarification what he might mean,
but the answers look always quite babelfishy to me.

I think it's admirable that he's working to communicate in English. (In fact, I'm always very impressed by the quality of the posts here by so many people who have learned English as a second or third language.) Had I not been born to English-speaking parents, I'm pretty sure I'd never have been able to learn this awful language!

Thanks Louis,
You said exactly what I meant. Houdini is hunting other ideas. As he did with Robbolito, Stockfish, Ivanhoe, etc.
