How can that be -15+ !!!! I can draw this without computer! White plays Ne6 black plays any move and then white simply sacs knight for pawn and the bishop is wrong color and cannot support h pawn. I thought wrong bishop code had been taken care of a long time ago by all top engines. Rybka used to be also be terrible with wrong bishop endgames, but that was a loooooong time ago. Actually this should be taken care of with even 5 piece EGTB's.

The reason is that they use buggy stockfish4 instead of using the developement version.

Stockfish4 knows about the blind bishop but simply find by search that black can promote the pawn to a rook and get KRB vs K that it evaluates as winning for the stronger side so it prunes and even does not search KxR that force a draw.

Note that the problem is clearly with promotion to a rook because promotion to a queen is promotion with check so it is not pruned.

Hi,

yes your are right it was a draw but i missed the last moves......the last Position i remember was nearly -2.00 for Komodo.....

now Houdini Plays (vs Gull) better than vs Stockfish (now Ne5 instead of Ng5)

eval houdini -0.64/26
Gull: -1.24/22

in move 44
Time left:
Houdini 49 min
Gull 1h 10 min
