"We will try to add more engines to the Revelation II Chess Board, to broaden the playing styles and strength of the System. In Shredder, Deep Sjeng and Hiarcs we already now have strong base engines, but we are looking to add more engines like maybe The Baron from Richard Pijl and The King from Johan de Koning. This will give the Revelation II chess Board a strong base for playing diversified types of chess."
The above is from 2 years ago. Any further news?

Re: CSVN 45th Programmers Tournament
So it's about time to start working on it my friend and release a public version so that we can have the pleasure to test it,hunt bugs and then tease you as long as we canhgm wrote:Spartacus was broken, which is kind of strange, as it is the same binary I used on some 5 earlier occasions, and I never noticed anything similar. But today, in two games where the opponent thought very long and played the expected move, Spartacus replied instantly. In such cases it is supposed to play the reply to the expected move that it found in the very deep search it could do while it was pondering. In stead, it started the search from scratch, and reached only depth 8 before (after 0.1 sec) it moved.
This depth (with LMR and null-move reductions) was not enough to see any significant tactics. So the move was essentially random. In the first game (against the King) this blundered away a Queen. In the second game it was checkmated (from a +1.3 score on the previous move).

Re: CSVN 45th Programmers Tournament
Indeed. But so many more important things crown my to-do list...
Next weeked is the TAAI tournament in Taipeh, my ICS has a bug in its repetition-detection code, the list of reported but as yet unfixed bugs in WinBoard is growing longer and longer, and we still have to design a way for the Debian package of my engine HaChu to automatically install the kanji piece images in XBoard. But fortunately the WB version of Bonanza seems to be fully working now (including the analysis with move exclusion).
And equiping WinBoard with a better webcasting method for the games it plays is also quite high on the list. Too bad you can only clone engines, not authors!
