Re: Now on topic ... Impressions after around 900 games!

Hi Fabio,

no problem.
Have a look in CEGT results ... we have the same opinion if we are looking on the performance in Elo. CEGT is very important for myself, here I get my information ... which engines I can added in my field.

Regards to CEGT ...
All is fine!

:-)

Most important for me all the time the FCT1 tourney. With stronger engines I have a little construction / building stat problem. FCT0 isn't ready.

But it's for me more interesting to see the way the talented programmers goes and the playing styles the programmers produced. Hope that newer Versions of Godel, OctoChess, Hakkapeliitta, others are soon available (stronger as around 2.650). So I can reaplaced, Junior, Hiarcs, Naum and have a full field of programs I like the most.

Easy ...
I can more see - compare to engines stronger as 2.900 -.
So I have more fun and can talk big in Quisinsky manner.

:-)

Again, have thanks for Pedone!
Now a place in my testing field with a good start point.

After each FCT1 test-run you can find under (Download games by Players) your game database with 50 games more.

Best
Frank

PS:
My opinion the the playing style was wrong.
Corrected in Tournament selection to the stats I posted today.

i found out that Pedone did not displaying nps in UCI beside of time, nodes, score, pv and for the second i found out the pedone with 4 cpu didnt using all threads, its use only around max. 35 % of the thread on my 8 core mashine, it should be around or near 50%

Pedone doesn't send nps, only the time and the nodes searched.

The cpu usage should be near 50% in a machine with 8 cores and without HT.
Maybe you are running short searches, try with a longer time search or with an infinite one.
I've tested the parallel search in a 4 core machine with HT and the cpu usage is correct.
