I've posted in this thread without mention the topic: Arasan. Bad, bad.
I remember Arasan as one of my first engines in ... 2002?! Only after Fritz 6, Junior 6 and likewise ... And Genius 5. I wanted then to play each other, and it _was_ primitive: Arasan and Genius had their own GUI, and so did Fritz+Junior. Yes, at that time it was a manual job, and so incorrect, so imprecise ! Nevertheless fun :) Then came WB and UCI ... Solving obvious problems.

What I wish to say, is thank you Jon for making Arasan, thank you for developing it further and further! With or without the GUI it's a champ, it's unique!

Hi,

Do you have an account on chess servers running Arasan so that you can tell me what is the average rating against human opponents in standard time controls ? (I´m not interested in bullet/blitz/rapid games).

Thanks in advance, Mr. Dart. I appreciate very much yopur work and I´m an Arasan user since its earlier versions !

Arasan plays on both ICC and FICS servers regularly. See http://www6.chessclub.com/activities/fi ... le=arasanx for its current rating on ICC. But it very rarely plays humans there, so I cannot give you a good estimate of its strength vs humans.
