Re: Zarkov collection available ...
Hi Gabor,
1. After all I know the 4.1 is stronger as 4.2. 4.2 have problems to load the pst files. 4.3 I never test and it seem not working. So it is enough to have 4.1 as latest Windows Version before John started with the wb seria.
2. I saw ... Version 6.50 is newer as 6.55. I don't know why. John sent three versions I added in my collection. 6.25, 6.55 and 4.99. Possible that an older version is stronger as a newer version and he goes back to an older version with a new version number. Possible that the date of 6.50 I have in my older collection isn't right. I can't say that today. I tested 6.50 in the past and 6.44 in the past. Both have around the same level. 6.55 was new for me too.
Should be test with test postions if you like.
On the other hand.
Wasp will be soon available ... in few days I think.
Possible that John will wait of the final result from my test-run.
But here ...
All works fine, no lost on time games, only 2 fast lost games vs. Hakkapeliitta, strong in endgames ... the gaming Phase before endgame started seens to be a Little Problem (if we compare with TOP-40). But I will test it very exactly and will give him later many impressions for maybe further improvements. Very clear that Wasp is definitiv very strong ... around 300-325 after my first impressions stronger as Zarkov 6.44 / 6.50 I tested at last.
John wrote me that he is working hard on this Version with many changes at last. In the last years ... the WB collection versions he is working from time to time on Zarkov.
I am so happy to see John again in the TOP-50 of available chess programs today and I am sure ... if John have again time for Wasp engine will be again stronger.

Re: Zarkov collection available ...
Hi,
after the first calculation ...
Nice to see that from round to round the Elo goes higher. Very high draw quote. Again, engine is not easy to beat in endgames for other with 2.800 Elo. Often Elo of engines in the second field goes with more games higher, Elo of engines in the first group is with more games lesser.
John told me yesterday that he played thousands of games and in my list he await around ~ 2.730 Elo. Possible that Wasp goes higher now with more games with around 10 Elo.

10 Elo more and place 36 is possible.
A hard fight for place 36 ... vs. other American engines like EXchess and Crafty ... OK from EXchess I have to test the newer version ...
So many strong American engines today. The computer chess nation number 1 today. But in the past Germany was good, The Netherlands, France ... time to animated the older programmers.
Draw rate (equal opponents) = 50.35 % +/- 0.24
