But Rybka does not know how to take advantage of an extra piece by trading down like most humans IMs and GMs can play better than Rybka with an extra piece
Yes, I think it was Rybka version 2.3 that adopted my ideas about how to simplify when winning (and avoid simplification when losing), so the version 2.2n2 was just prior to this. That would explain why it missed 4...e5! which should force a queen trade or else win a pawn. 1.e4 is actually a mistake at b1 knight odds due to this variation.

I see, that's interesting. I ran two games against Rybka 2.3.2a and Stockfish 14 lost the first one but won this one. It had the black king and rook trapped in the corner.

Yes, I think it was Rybka version 2.3 that adopted my ideas about how to simplify when winning (and avoid simplification when losing), so the version 2.2n2 was just prior to this. That would explain why it missed 4...e5! which should force a queen trade or else win a pawn. 1.e4 is actually a mistake at b1 knight odds due to this variation.
I see, that's interesting. I ran two games against Rybka 2.3.2a and Stockfish 14 lost the first one but won this one. It had the black king and rook trapped in the corner.

I am finding that the skill levels of dragon 2 are a good substitute for the human in odds games. If Jorge can tell you which skill level is a fair match for him at Rapid in normal chess, then having dragon giving knight odds to that skill level of itself might be a good simulation of dragon giving knight odds to Jorge in Rapid.

Yes, I think it was Rybka version 2.3 that adopted my ideas about how to simplify when winning (and avoid simplification when losing), so the version 2.2n2 was just prior to this. That would explain why it missed 4...e5! which should force a queen trade or else win a pawn. 1.e4 is actually a mistake at b1 knight odds due to this variation.

I am finding that the skill levels of dragon 2 are a good substitute for the human in odds games. If Jorge can tell you which skill level is a fair match for him at Rapid in normal chess, then having dragon giving knight odds to that skill level of itself might be a good simulation of dragon giving knight odds to Jorge in Rapid.

I don’t know what you ask about subtracting. I estimate skill level as fide rating /115, which is about 21 for Jorge or a bit more. But this formula is largely untested vs humans in Rapid, it could be off a bit.

Yes, I think it was Rybka version 2.3 that adopted my ideas about how to simplify when winning (and avoid simplification when losing), so the version 2.2n2 was just prior to this. That would explain why it missed 4...e5! which should force a queen trade or else win a pawn. 1.e4 is actually a mistake at b1 knight odds due to this variation.
I see, that's interesting. I ran two games against Rybka 2.3.2a and Stockfish 14 lost the first one but won this one. It had the black king and rook trapped in the corner.

I tried it with Komodo 12.3 and Komodo 14 with g1 Knight odds vs Rybka 2.3.2a and both Komodos lost.
