But we discussed which boards it supports and you list 3 on the play store page, millennium DGT and carb something so I assume that will be all there. And we hashed out it’s important to say you support blue tooth from the board or a utility like chess link. I assume not a cable to the android decide ever. This type of information would be in the description below.

Note that currently, Chess for Android supports the Millennium electronic chessboards (both BLE and classic bluetooth), the Certabo electronic chessboards (both USB and bluetooth, but also for Reversi and Checkers; the latter may be added to the online server protocol at some point), and the DGT electronic chessboards (both USB and bluetooth, and soon also the latest DGT Pegasus, which is BLE). The client to ICC and FICS is rather simple by design, probably one of the minimalistic choices out there.

I passed this along to mattuc. But of the extra questions, does it auto save games? Do you save the completed games regardless of type like a chess for android game or a FICS game in PGN or anything? Or would the boards save in some cases if you dont? I always like a pgn copy of every game i play available.

In a pending update, the one that also adds DGT Pegasus support, all server games are stored, just like engine tournament games currently. So, technically the answer for the current version is no, but in the very near future, this is a yes.

But chess for android is listed now as blue tooth as earlier hashed out. mattuc has your new info now. That will change probably not before too long.

You might know already from FICS but the Chess for Android listing and freechess.org download page got updated a final time for now adding more info on chess for android and compatibility. https://www.freechess.org/interfaces.html
It now says

Chess for Android: An app for Android devices. Supports DGT, Certabo, or Millennium electronic chessboards via Bluetooth. DGT and Certabo boards are also supported via USB; Millennium boards are also supported via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). When not connected to the server, it supports human vs. engine or engine vs. engine play.

Thanks for all you've done for promoting the ICS model however you managed to get involved The app is a nice addition to the chess world that is not bound by lichess or chess.com rules and can let any app developer contribute and access rated play.

Chess for Android is also currently one of the 4 informational shouts/chat channel broadcasts that DiamondChess(TD) is doing. They go off in order every 215 minutes currently and roate each message every 860 minutes between shouts and the chat channel.

DiamondChess(TD)(50): tell diamond chess help, for how to see top interfaces used on FICS. The Chess for Android FICS client can be used with Millennium electronic chessboards, the Certabo e-boards, and DGT e-boards.

I am very enthusiastic about all the new beautiful e-boards with LEDs. Inspired, I just implemented the existing "move coach" of Chess for Android for e-boards. Here is a brief video showing the new feature. I plan to release this soon to Google Play, but please let me know what you think!

Note that I don't ship engines with the Chess for Android application itself, but there are several chess packages available, including my own BikJump engine.
