When I was around 13 years I got the german translation of this book https://www.logic-books.info/sites/defa ... uzzles.pdf for Christmas. My first contact to Gödel's theory and maybe the oldest Christmas present that I still own.

Nice to see that this book is online for free now. Recommendation for reading to everybody who likes logical puzzles.

In "Die Vermessung der Welt" you would be Humboldt, but Gauss should not be discounted too easily.
You might like the book (Measuring the World in English).
