In Cutechess GUI the Skill Level=true can be set at engine's parameters by checking a box, so far this one GUI together with Scid, these 2 are the only ones I saw so far, showing the parameter at all, in Shredder, Fritz, Arena, Hiarcs CE and Banksia it's hidden.
Had a match against default with Skill Level 20, 3'+1," single thread, UHO 2024 900-990cp 6mvs in Cutechess GUI:
Score of Patricia5 vs Patricia5SL20: 289 - 2 - 209 [0.787]
Elo difference: 227.0 +/- 22.9, LOS: 100.0 %, DrawRatio: 41.8 %
500 of 500 games finished.
Another one match with UCI Elo lowered for 100 (2901 instead of 3001) I broke off after about 100 games with about 80 wins for default, 20 draws and no wins for the handicapped side, which would have meant about 350 Elo difference for this short try, regards

Re: Patricia 5
I'm using the Android compile on Acid Ape Chess and it's always confusing. GUI offers a 0-100 strength slider, that would probably be UCI_STRENGTH. In engine options there's the skill levels.
There's no human setting, or however it is called.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/chess- ... k/download
I've set skill to 1 and strength on ui side to 0%. Well, no blundering erc... latest SF sees itself at +0.3 after now 20 moves. Only 2 book moves.
Too strong for me

Argh, skill levels engine vs. UI side... I overlooked, that in Acid Ape Chess I can setup UI side "strength" per engine on match setup. It seems the "0-100%" strength slider on UI side is the only factor influencing strength.
The bug that the engine reports all its calculated variations (on lower strength levels) to the UI still exists.

Re: Patricia 5
Has anyone figured out how to get it to play at a reduced strength on Chessbase?
Thanks
