Re: Move 14
There's only a few moves that seem to really merit consideration here IMO.
Bf6. The obvious one, and a logical follow up to f6 earlier. Forces the white queen to move so we gain some space.
Rf5. Same idea, queen only has 3 flight squares, and we can follow up with a dark bishop move perhaps. Might weaken the king position some though.
Qc8. Kind of pointless, but allows for a move like d5 or d6 to control the center and gain some mobility.
Bd5. Threatens Bxa2 (though easily met with b3) and allows d6.
I will make a preliminary vote for Bf6, awaiting further analysis by non-patzers.

Both Bf6 and Qc8 leads to trading the Q. Both will leaveZach Wegner wrote:There's only a few moves that seem to really merit consideration here IMO.

black with control of the middle. Still a draw game.
I vote for Bf6 also.
Best,
Gerold.

Re: Move 14
I spent a little time looking at 14...Bf6, 14...Rf5 14...Rf6 and 14...a5
I vote for 14...Bf6 but am not particularly happy with it. None of the plans I came up with for black looks particularly promising. Here is what I looked at:
14...Bf6 then:
15. Qd6 Qa5 looks ok I guess. I would rather be white of course.
15. Qh5 Be4 16. Bd3 Bxd3 17. cxd3 is a little blah for black but I don't see much better. The isolated pawn is not really much of a weakness given black's structure.
15. Qg3 Qa5 is as good as anything I guess(15...Be4 16. Bc5 Rf7 (the exchange saq does not look good) 17. Bd3 and white is happy)
14..Rf5 15. Qg3
15...Be4 16. Bd3 Bxd3 17. Bd4!? Bf6 18. Bxf6 Qxf6 19. Qxd3 is great for white
15...Bf6 16. b4! white's queenside gets mobile and takes away black's ability to swing his rook over to a5 and makes his rook position a bit awkward.
14...Rf6 15. Bd3 seems to stop black's attack in its tracks.
14...a5 15. Bd3 Bf6 16. Qg3 a4 17. b4 axb 18. axb very pleasant for white

Re: Move 14
No specific moves yet, but I would like to share some thoughts on the position.
We have 2 problems: we're a pawn down
and a7 is weak, and white has no weaknesses whatsoever.
The only positive thing about our position is that we have those central pawns. However, with 2 bishops on both sides and no knights, I personally do not see a clear plan how to utilize those pawns. I mean wherever we advance them it will hurt our bishops' mobility more than white's.
I would seriously think about getting rid of a7, a rough idea is: Rb8 Bxa7 Bf6 and then Rxb2. Maybe it works with Bf6 first.

Re: Move 14
If 14. ... Rb8 15. Bxa7 Bf6 then 16. Qxb8 drops the exchance i think.
