How does it trap it? It is already trapped is it not ? The a7 pawn is vulnerable too

Without Bd6, we will be quickly choked on queenside.
We urgently need breathing space (not only for f6 rook).

with about 7 hours to go to TC we have..

Bd6(Gerold,Matthias,Ray)
Nb7(Tano)

there seems to be a bit of a discussion taking place over this move so i hesitate to cut the time short

will let the full time run on this one

I'll look when I get home in about 3 hours and post my choice. Hopefully I'll beat the deadline. However I did study the position initially and felt that Bd6 was best, so if I don't post otherwise, please take that as my choice.
