It hasn't - and I'm analysing the current position with Shredder 12, and after 7 mins, depth 20, it's evaluation is +0.55

I'm not sure why you think Nd6 is a blunder.

actually the blunder would be if we played 16.dxc5 leaving us with two isolated pawns
:o
i think Matthias might have overlooked that BL can recapture the pawn with 16..Nxc5
and if 17.Bxg7 then 17..Nb3

OK, I did overlook the simple fork because I thought BigLion had somehow gone nuts
I may change my 16.dxc5.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

The fork is no problem, actually it is either above BigLions horizon now
or the defense 16...Ne8 is still better than I thought.
16...Nxc5?? will lose soon if you analyse much further after the forced
17...Nb3?

dxc5

100% sure about this move because we have Bxg7 after the knight takes back.

beyond BigLion's horizon ? The beast is hitting ply 16 in 10 hours :D .

... but Shredder12 is hitting ply 20 in only 7 mins

BigLion is surely seeing the fork.
BigLion's next move may be Ne8, if we don't play dxc5  :D

I'd like to see the proposed line after 16.dc, Nxc5; 17.Bxg7, Nb3 also (remembering that after Black plays Nxc1, our bishop on e2 can be captured with check if we don't recapture immediately).

Meanwhile my vote is for 16.d5 possibly followed up with Bd3.
