Mine is the same, but i noticed something strange. If i unzip the download to a temp folder, the log file shows this text, but when i copy the log file to my engine folder, the text changes, and no longer displays the same text. It's too long to post here though. :-)

I didn't run the engine, just copied the log file to the engine folder. How can copying a text file to the engine folder change the contents of the text file? I find that very strange.

i have zappa running without ini and it is not freezing.
Sorry, I should have elaborated to indicate when it freezes.
After first start, it runs OK with with one thread and setting threads to 2 in parameters did not cause issue. On second load of GUI, again ran OK with 1 thread but after switching to 2 threads in parameters the GUI freezes when switching on infinite analysis. Oddly, overwriting the Zappa_Mexico engine file with .exe from the original zipped folder gets it working again as if something had corrupted the engine code. Creating the simple .ini file as previously stated prevents that freeze. So I can understand that without the .ini file, anyone using a multi-core/thread CPU could well have experienced problems when setting threads to anything other than 1 in the parameter options.

That is the exact same problem I experienced by running Zappa Mexico 64-bit 2CPU in CB gui. In Shredder 10 GUI it's perfectly fine.

I emailed SMK about this and he sent me the .ini file which corrected this.

I hope they will fix the .exe file so that I can discard the .ini file.
