Father, can you do that the same thing on your local machine (not online)?
Please post the game.
Thank you.

People used to think that about Fritz 3. Still, Fritz 11 will probably beat Fritz 8 in most games.
Fritz 3 was famous with its success against Kasparov and the like (e.g. in Blitz), yet Fritz 11 would probably slaughter Fritz 3 within a few moves in EVERY game. (Fritz 8 would be half way, perhaps)

For giggles and grins I've dusted off some of the "Old Warhorses" like Shredder 7.04 UCI (on two threads). Fritz 11 is kicking the snot out of Shredder 7.04, so I would imagine it would do the same to Fritz 8. :D

Compared to humans, most engines are insanely strong.
Your beliefs create your reality, so be careful what you wish for.

Yes, I had thought so too, and I've been clearly well over 2000 elo. However, people like Uri Blass and lkaufman, who are well up in these matters, have made it clear that it should not be too difficult for an average player who is above 2000, to beat the best programs of today occasionally [and to be sure, just remove your computer opponents knight].
