Here is a video that reminds me of the different faces of Romi, made by my friend Kim. Watch 0:18, that's were Romy kicks Homer's money maker without realizing what the future goat/got in store for her. You can also see a special appearance by Michael Sherwin from 2:14 to 2:22. Also starring, me as King Leonidas..

If the ring that that creature coveted is the equivilent of ELO for the chess programmer then I am not that creature. Yet! But, to get ahead of and stay ahead of 'you know who' ... Lets just say that I sense my inner demon starting to awake!

Bingo!
btw: Can somebody tell me why the learning, specially here Romichess, should be so importent ? I think without learning is it just fair, like gerneral books.

But i can tell you that a guy, if i remember correctly his name was Rodolfo, did some tests with engine learning. He compared Romichess, TheBaron (private version), Homer and Spike with static opening positions.

I was very very suprised as he told me that Homer won this competition. Homer (version 2.0) beated Romichess without any problems as well.
Interesting was that at the beginning Romi was better with his learning, but as longer the match run Homer overrun Romi.

So, like "Vas" style, i'm claiming that Homer has the world strongest (best) learning feature and he just only needs 256kb filesize.

Best,
Daniel

But learning isn't all. Well, the biggest problem is that people just looking on ELO points and ratinglist. Of course it is an easy way to compare engines and you'll need not much time to do so and late on you can buy or download engine X or Y.

But Homer has more special features like laerning. I created Homer for analysis your personal games. This was my main view and i think it's done and realized very good in unique ways as i described on my homepage.

That isn't just markting or big words with nothing behind it. Well, look on Rybka, of course she is very strong, of course she gives you perfect mainlines in a view of a GM player. But she never will understand your personal style in your games. She follows always her own evalution. She ignores your variants. Is that what you want from a analysis engihne ?

Homer just use learning and back-trace stuff to learning how is your style, how are your plans and how do you won or lose the game. If you moving trough the game with him and you plays other interssting variants for you he'll learn very fast what you want and shows you better ways in your favorite style. For example Homer can announced a very long mate or understand plan which takes much more moves then he could search in the current position that you want, not was his evaluation says like Rybka.

However, maybe the people understand now that Homer is from the technical view a top enine already and a unique engine and now i'm just going for ELO's.

Best,
Daniel
