No, Vincent received it by email from one of the various people who did that. And I know it first hand because I was in this chat session when you logged in as "Anonymous" while we were discussing that.

So, Vincent studied this 1.0 version and his conclusion is that it's made of Fruit 2.1's eval. Alexander, who studied your public version 1.2 concludes that its eval is Toga II's.
at the time of 1.0, was testing with many different search algorithms...
No, search algorithm is not involved here, but pure Eval(), as the scores of your 1.0 and Fruit 2.1 are identicall. Ok, Search() is invoved a bit too, as your 1.0 does strictly the same unusual move ordering as Fruit 2.1 does, what puzzled Vincent the most.

But you're right about something : you tried various stuff, as Alexander conclude that you switched to Toga for more recent versions of xYclops.

So, please, at least don't accuse Vincent of things he never did, while YOU obviously did what Alexandre, Vincent and others proved you did.

Hello Gerold,
sorry, i am not back. At the moment i have no time and motivation to work on Fruit/Toga anymore. But i am sure there are other people who try to improve Toga on a legal way and that would be fine.

? i have never logged in as 'anonymous'...you're completely incorrect.
ask Olivier...my handle is norm
someone, (until now i believed it was vincent) told me directly in the chat that they had stolen the copy.

concerning vincent...
i see, that's my mistake. i assumed it was vincent because he now has a copy.

I have checked the server log and can confirm Norm always connected with his alias and not as anonymous.

It was not Vincent who stated he found the hidden link to Xyclops 1.0 archive; it was another person. Let's add the 2 people who found that link reported it to me so that I could tell Norm. I did so and Norm removed these files from his website.
