Also, why do I see that some of the testing is done without pondering. Is it because RL cannot ponder?

Yes Miguel,

It ponders and it ponders well!

Makes me think though, kinda strange isn’t it…?

The original RobboLito release had no ponder, no UCI options, no book support, no smp, no multiPV, etc… …i,e, absolutely no features at all…

If it were in fact a reverse engineered ‘clone’ of rybka 3, or stolen code….as some here are arguing-

Why doesn’t it include any of these features (all of which are present in Rybka3)?

It really looks more like it’s a work in progess, doesn’t it…?
OMG....you're gang is unbelievable..

If more people would test the engine instead making comments without testing it,they would get the idea that this engine is stronger that Rybka 3.
And the strength of the engine is a reason why Vas had to change his mind about releasing Rybka 4.
If Rybka 4 was able to beat this engine we would be all testing new Rybka instead if commenting about Robbo .And this is also "people's project" with so many individuals participating in it and that is what makes it fun.And that project is continuing with MP version coming soon.
I wonder how Vas is going to sell his Rybka 4 "without any warranty" and his internet based Rybka if his engine can not beat engine that is free and easily accessible.Maybe by yelling together with his close followers:clone, clone, clone...

You are running Rybka 3 in conditions that crippled it, not allowing it to use the remaining 3 cpus of your machine.

Miguel
At the first moment you said: "You are running Rybka 3 clone."
Now you are saying: "You are running Rybka 3 in conditions that crippled it".

I can see a positive evolution in your approach of the problem.

Keep on this way Miguel.

yes, all is the same if I thinking on the 40 or more beta versions of Patriot developement. Vladimir have the same problems with adapter code, ponder and so on. 100% the same with RobboLito.

On the other hand ...
The programmer of Cyclone (Norm Pollock?) made all the updates for Robbolito. I think he try to make the code clear for us to see more ... all what I read is that the code of Ippolit is unclear.

Frank
The code of Ippolit is probably done by an automated software. Thats why the people think it is Rybka. But if it is done automated, how can it be so different to Rybka?

BTW Frank: Was Vladimir Yelin ever in Italy?

Unsurprising, it has the same lacks (you call it bugs) as KAISSA by Vladimir Yelin...

Unsurprising because it is more similar to KAISSA by Vladimir Yelin than to Rybka. (Except it's strength)

Surprising that people ignore this facts.

Even more surprising that especially people ignore this facts who defend other engines from cloning suspicions (what is fine).
Unsurprisingly some people still don't answer on posts with facts that do not support the theory of a cloned Rybka.

Unsurprisingly still no factual discussion is possible.

Hi Alex,

First question:
Perhpas its an other version of Rybka, not Rybka 3.

Second question:
I have around 3-4 years no contacts to Vladimir.

Vladmir never speak from Italy.
If I remember, he was ever in Belarus.

Can't answere of your questions.
Have no more information.

A lot of contacts in the past and we switched a lot of private mails. One of the reason that I am disappointed about Vladimir. In all the mails I can read that Vladimir is a nice guy and computer chess is his big hobby.

If I look in the problems RobboLito have I can see all the same compare to Patriot. Each day new versions, the ponder problems, UCI options, the crashes. It's 1:1 the same !!

But to say Vladimir made it must not be right.
No profs for it.

Go look it up. Anyone can. It's close in strenght to Rybka 3, maybe a tad stronger as it contains it would seem Rybka 4.
When did Vasik say his house had been intruded and Rybka 4 robbed? He did say the machines on which he develops Rybka have no internet connection.
Gabor, how many times do I have to tell you that Vasik was attacked with heavy submachine guns by masked bandits, there was a heavy gunfire and bullets were flying all over the place, but unfortunately they managed to escape with the blue prints of Rybka 4 at the end

Shhhhht,of course it's not allowed to express your opinion in front of the Rybka sectarians if it's different that their own....
