Extraordinary claims

Post by sje »

Erasmus wrote "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence".

Posting games played in private is little, if any, evidence.

The "system" has to be tested on a public chess server with skeptical witnesses observing. Only when this is done can we make a clear evaluation of the "system". Anything else is a waste of time.

Is this any clearer for you? Do you need me to post it from Chessbase and other databases as well that state the EXACT same ECO code for your opening.

Now go away and try to make a buck elsewhere. That is where this is leading right? You want to sell your "system"?

How about this..

I will throw Houdini 3 on a modest Intel i3 540 system and you can publicly play your system and show the World it works, and works without fail. I will even make a book where your "system"'s opening line is the only one it will play.

I'm sure an hour per side would be sufficient to show your mastery over these dumb programs. No take backs, set time control.. sounds like a challenge.

You pick the chess server and and time.

If you win, I will post the games you seek so badly. If you lose, you disappear like a fart in the wind. Deal?

I expect him to lose but I do not see what it is going to prove.

A single loss does not prove that Anthony.R.Brown cheated and it is clearly possible that he lost many games before he could achieve a win against houdini.

I do not remember him claiming that he can avoid losing against houdini in most of his games.

He states he created this system in 1980. That's 33 years to perfect it. He wants to state it's his system. I have shown in a simple screen shot that his system opening IS classified in the ECO database.

If this was truly create 33 years ago, why hasn't anyone heard about it until now? Surely if it worked on any measurable consistent basis, online computer chess would be destroyed because humans would dominate with this "system".

I am simply calling a spade a spade. He's the one stating it's HIS system and HE created it; including the opening. He's the one spouting off showing a single game where he beat Houdini, yet when I replay the game and analyze it at 60 seconds per move, Houdini selects vastly different moves.

It's bullshit and I'm calling him on it. Nothing wrong with that.

These programs are very hard to beat. I use Deep Fritz 13 and even Deep Fritz 13 is very strong for me. Even Fritz 6 Light is difficult for me to win against.

Of course it is possible to win against these programs but you have to take many many moves back.

It takes a very very gifted human player to be able to win easily (without taking a lot of moves back) against these programs.
