Hi,

read my News 072!
Critter has own ideas.
In my opinion the programmer of Critter made different mistakes with newer versions but after his comments why he do that ... it's to understand. The different to the programmer of Critter and others ... he was honest and say us what he do.

A big different Sedat!
A very big different!

I hope that the Critter programmer will come back, Vas and Robert are not important programmers for myself.

Hello Frank,

To be honest,
I am not against anybody...I respect all programmers !

Exception,
I am against people who copy others ideas (without adding 0 own ideas)
And after that they claim their engines are own original work

And what a pity that,
Critter's author is one of them...

But however,
I wish to see in the next days (not after a few years)):
Critter to be clean one and to be stronger min 50 Elo than Houdini 4))

Sedat

Hi Sedat,

Elo isn't all.
Ideas are good known today.

Own / newe ideas are important, here you are right.

The Critter programmer have a lot of own ideas. Sources are checked by a lot of others programmers. You can find a lot of it in WWW, see my News 072.

In cases of Critter we have an other opinion.
Only a bad Point is ... that he used too many of good known code and here he made the programmer in my opinion too a mistake. But all in all I think he is very talented and again ... what he do is public and why he do that is public too.

Again, that is a big different!

You can find a lot of interesting Information the Critter programmer gave in Rybka Forum (discuss with Ed is interesting). Have a look in the links you can find in my News 072.

Hello Frank,

Elo is at all !!
In case of close similarity...

Give me one reason,
Why I should test Critter 1.6a when Houdini 1.5a is available (the mother) ?)

You say: Critter's author is honest programmer,
If it is true, then where I can find information that Richard Vida is stated that he used mainly the ideas from Houdini ??

Come on my friend...
I am naive but not so much...that's why HoudiCrit name perfectly suits...))

Hello Frank,

I read them before, thanks...)

And after all,
Only Rybka is a clone...right ??, hmm...
What kind of justice is that... ???

I say again,
If Rybka will be counted as clone, then I am afraid in that:
Almost all engines should be counted in this group !
Because all these strong ideas did not come from MARS !!

Just saying...

I missed him a lot...
Give me one good reason why he would return to the people who slaughtered him.
That's right...I hardly doubt that ever Vas will come again...
But anyway let's hope...who knows...maybe we can see Rybka 5 )!

BTW,
Vas's engine (Rybka) may be is slaughtered by some clever people,
But they have no such such power to slaughter our love to Rybka !!

Greetings,
Sedat
Totally agree. Vas is a huge loss to the chess community, and we are all worse off for his absence. I'd like to see him return, but why would he. After what was done to him, I certainly wouldn't.

$ :lol:

Vas dropped out of the game not because he was 'slaughtered'. Rybka was still selling well enough. He dropped out because any new ideas of his were stolen and published just days after he released a new version implementing them.

Hi Sedat,

I am not saying Rybka is a full clone.
I am saying that Vas never speak about it from where from his knowlege before he starts with Rybka 1. I say that I am sure that Vas is a talented programmer but goes the wrong way. And I am saying that I will read in readme.txt ...

I am using the ideas from ... if so!
That's all ...

Have a look in the first message from today to Ed.
My 5 Points ...

That's the reason I dislike Rybka!
Very easy to understand I think!
