As I said before there is no use to test these endgames, since Stockfish and Dragon 3.2 are much stronger than Capablanca or Magnus
playing endgames without using any EGTB. Stockfish or Dragon only needs about 2 to 3 seconds to find the very best moves wherras, capablanca in those days probably used at least 5 minutes per move
:o ??????????? :roll:
I know you mean well...but none of this was never what the thread was about...so, I'll just say again 'thanks for the effort'.

If anyone else now or later has any thoughts about which plays an these non-exact endgames better without a table base search (and no, not against each other) - the current Stockfish or Dragon, I'll be happy to revisit the thread.
You are Welcome, but you recommended to use past endgames played by humans, but none of those humans have a chance against Dragon 3.2 or Stockfish without using EGTB, so what is the point of using endgames that were reached by humans that were like 600 rating points weaker than the top 4 engines in which none of those positions were going to be reached since todays top engines would not allow their position to reach such inferior positions, unless it is a 2800 rated engines versus Dragon 3.2 or latest Stockfish.

Conclusion: There is no reason to test top engines against positions that were reached due to a player being inferior to the other. The only reason why capablanca had so many great endgames or players sacrifice their Queen is because their opponent allowed them, but between the 4 top engines you will never see that happen. :roll:

Explain to me why playing Bf5! is the best move for White and at the same time giving the pawn on d5 is the best sacrifice for White ? It does NOT matter who play the White side Stockfish or Dragon 3.2 they both chose Bf5! I want somebody with good endgame knowledge to explain it to me, Please. Is it because later on you will have 2 White pawns to attack and the Black Bishop will have none :?: :roll:

Re: I found the Answer...................

This is why===>

:roll:
You don't get it, but that's okay. So, first...perhaps I should have worded the title of the post differently as you may have been confused and thought I was talking about the two engines playing against one another...instead of what I asked about in the body of the email.

Beyond that, I told you why I felt endgame positions NOT arrived at as a result of super engine vs super engine game play might be better for testing how each engine handles such endgame positions where 'playability' is still important is...well, important. But, we can differ there.

Now, why you veer off into ALL this about engines being better than 'Capa or Carlsen' is beyond me. That is irrelevant really, although seeing how the Super Engine's approach might differ from humans could be interesting and would certainly be more in line with answering my question.

'Conclusion': ...lets just drop it. Your initial answer about Dragon 3.2 being "superior" to Stockfish with some time to 'think' was sufficient.
