Sven
Well i was late getting here
sorry about that
technically Sven's move came 4 Hrs past the time control so the move really ought to be Ne6(Graham,Tano)
however as this is a friendly game i will leave it up to the players to decide to allow Svens vote in or to go with Ne6
the vote winner at TC
Sven's vote would bring the voting to a tie between Ne4 (Matthias,Sven) and Ne6

if you decide to allow Svens move in then please indicate your preference for Ne6 or Ne4 so we can not delay the game any further

Up To You Guys Regards
Steve
Change my vote to

Ne6.

Best,

Gerold.
Once again its Gerold to the rescue!
:P

OFFICIAL MOVE
25..Ne6

to which the MDC replies....
26.Nxe6

to which i assume the team will reply
26..Bxe6
http://www.talkchess.com/forum/viewtopi ... 608#300608

and the MDC is now pondering its reply...

Catching Up Regards
Steve
IMO if the forum vote is not locked in yet late votes should count.

Best,

Gerold.

Ra7 d5 is weak we could sacrifice it in d4 maybe.

I wish I'd opted for Ne4 for the previous move after all!
Doesn't Ra7 here lose the d-pawn anyway? If so, perhaps swapping off rooks along the c-file and having the bishop pair in the pawn down ending offers excellent chances for the draw?

Bf7.

Still ahead of SDC. :)

Best,

Gerold.

White's Knight is useless for now.
The double rook Black can break up if we choose.
Black holds the power in the middle that is what
counts. Black has got the Queen side under control.

I see a small advantage for black due to the pair of bishops and the absence of severe problems for black. Now there are several options. One is to play d4, opening the position which is good for our bishops but may create a tactical position where our opponent can be stronger. Another is Bf7 while planning either g5, e5, or a5-a4. This looks promising to me.

So I vote for Bf7.
