Re: World Chess Championship (Game 6)
Now, the only good move seems to be bxc5. Will we see a mistake from Kramnik at this stage. Anand is slightly better here... but all other moves seem to make black worse.

Nigel Short (GM UK) on Playchess: "It is all very clever. You leave you king in the centre, in preparation for the endgame, and connect your rooks via the third rank. 21st century chess!"

I find it interesting that in the two games that Anand has won so far, he hasn't castled!AdminX wrote:[Event "World Chess Championship 2008"]

He's sacrificed that priviledge in this game as well. It's working against Kramnik, causing him untold stress.

Excellent, let me remove my castling bonus from Schola and watch as it crushes the competition.Anil wrote:Nigel Short (GM UK) on Playchess: "It is all very clever. You leave you king in the centre, in preparation for the endgame, and connect your rooks via the third rank. 21st century chess!"

What will be interesting is to find the improvements that come for these openings and see if they can stand the test of time.
Andy.
