A mix of CM, Chessbase, databases and even some pretty ladies undressing as our score mount, but going out if we go down.
If you resist until move 40, they get naked for good.

But of course if you give a very strong engine -even if it is not the strongest- AND a package full of frills, services, databases, tutorials etc, Chessmaster class but 5 times better, then surely I will purchase.
The times for just-the-engine.get-the-gui-elsewhere are dead.

I have been preaching this since 5 years at least and nobody gave me the due reason I have regards...

As I keep saying for years, I really wished there would be a very intelligent spoken voice which comments on moves, like with Friitz, but much better and more correct in analysis.

Even if the engine strength was weaker, I, even I, (who normally feels very strongly that playing strength isupreme importance), would spend money and forego very many elo's for a good spoken commentary, which also entertains and puts a person in a thinking state of mind, combined with humor etc.

That would be nice, but I hope for something even better than that. A permanent, resident program popping any minute to say us would you play or train that opening you are weak at? Things like that...

I have no doubt that you should, if not make your own program, atleast have a program, full of some of your ideas. You have ideas which were more common (I think) in earlier computer days, maybe even 20 years ago. If there was a program, designed according to your ideas, I would be very happy to see it becoming a best seller (Just make sure it is very well done, worthy of 2010).

I doubt it will happen. I have pestered more than one programmer with detailed explanation of my ideas and all of them say "it is too difficult" or "i am by now concerned with the strength thing".
But, as much as strength is less and less a concern, perhaps some day....
Then I will be dead or in an asylum.
