Hi,
can't create an engine with Shredder- and CB-gui (Fritz 11). Only an empty, Java labled, window pops up. Used JA's latest compile on Windows 7 64bit. The exe runs well on the command prompt; tested with "go depth 17".
Any hint howto get CuckooChess 1.12 running in these guis?
Thanks,
Max

I think it will work in Fritz (though I haven't tested it ) if you use the program 'InBetween' - http://home.online.no/~malin/sjakk/.
Edit InBetween.ini with the path of your cuckoochess install e.g
Code: Select all
[InBetween]
CommandLine := java.exe -jar "C:\Chess\Engines\cuckoochess_112-ja\Launch4J\cuckoochess-112-uci-ja.exe"Jim.

Thanks Jim,
Inbetween did the trick for both guis!
In my case, needn't to copy Inbetween.exe/ini to the Java folder. Just unzipped them to CuckooChess and changed the ini-file.

Hi Max !
Dont't forget to put- in the same location (Java\jre6\bin......or your location) - the nice CuckooChess logo from the Mr.Jim Ablett site. Must be in .bmp format and rename it InBetween.
Launch4J compile of Cuckoo photo:

Regards,
PS: in the Client folder of Java\jre6\bin is the jvm.dll file !

Works here under Fritz 11 GUI on a Windows 7 64-bit OS. Use the standalone exe.Max wrote:Hi,

The standalone Excelsior jet 32 bit compile of Cuckoochess 1.12 has a rather bad evaluation bug in it (discovered by author Peter).
Peter gave me the fixed src code and I compiled another Excelsior Jet compile which works correctly.
(You can read about it in this part of the thread > http://74.220.23.57/forum/viewtopic.php ... 2&start=30)
I strongly suggest you use this one instead > http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5047625/cuckoochess-112b-ja.zip

Jim.
