to be clear...
Fire source code includes Linux support (and always has)

Matthew-
there are hundreds of lines of Linux code, as you now well know
it has never been compiled as i have not had a Linux system available to me for many years now

i'm sure you are a fantastic linux programmer...
if you find some bugs and/or improvements, please be friendly and post to Dimitris GIT hub

thx,

Matthew,

My dual-boot computer capable of running Linux (Fedora 14) was made by a company called Compaq back in 2001. While it was top-of-the-line back then, it would be unwise of me to try to make a Linux release of Firenzina. I expect to be busy making and checking generic Windows compiles. But you're most welcome to join GitHub and become a collaborator of Firenzina! I have nothing against Linux. I taught programming using Linux. "Linux is a friend of mine." :)

Could you check that everything is still compileable on your end (IOW I haven't fubared anything up)?

My friends,
in my ignorance,
should not make two different branches, one windows and other GCC,
I I can collaborate more in "Windows"
plus I like to learn the ideas of Matthew (GCC or Linux)

Thanks ..

no, it does not compile...
your redefinition of boolean to bool doesn't work
"cannot open source file "stdbool.h""

my understanding is:
stdbool.h is C99, and MSVC is not a C99 compliant compiler (only supports C89)

however, the way it was works fine:
ie 'boolean' typedef'd as unsigned 8 bit integer with true/false defines

typedef unsigned __int8 boolean;
#define true 1
#define false 0

Dimitri can just revert the code
a big thanks for the effort...

anyway that being said, i'm going to remove myself from the project...
i stopped Fire 2.2 for good reason and am really not interested anymore in pursuing it further
good luck to any who get involved

Hi Jose-

the source code is not 2 branches, it's portable
#define WINDOWS (or not)
simply determines the target

anyway,
good luck with Bouquet!

Matthew, I delayed the check, because I didn't consider it urgent for making Windows executables on my side.

Being new to GitHub, I wonder if it's necessary to pull back the request, or we could just write over it?

Norm, thank you very much for your help and support! I realize that I caused an emotional roller-coaster.
