Now, the second game against Komodo taking the a1 rook.
The first win for me in this challenge.

Komodo's opening transposed into the exchange French.
A dream to play for me: a single open line.
I think I made a few imprecise moves, but nothing that would put the win in danger.

Hi.

Now, the second game against Stokfish, taking the h1 rook.
A win for me.

When Stockfish went for an early queen exchange, I felt relieved.
After that, I had to be careful; but did not have any special difficulty converting the full point.

Hi.

Now, the second game against Komodo, taking the h1 rook.
A draw.

Komodo got two connected passed pawns, I felt uneasy about them
With 25... Nb5 I went for a piece sacrifice, after that I was an exchange and a pawn up, with a good position (I got rid of Komodo's passed pawns).
But I simply missed 27. Rh1
When I played 29... Rb2 I saw the perpetual; but at that time I simply did not find a good way to prevent it.

Next game is against Stockfish, taking the a1 rook.
When I get the chance, hopefully soon.

Greetings.
You should try playing against Berserk 9 ==> https://github.com/jhonnold/berserk with a1 Rook Odds or h1 rook Odds. As a matter of fact you never ever mentioned what type of computer are you using, speed etc....? For example you can type This PC and click on properties and copy and where it say processor and paste it here. Like this Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 16.0 GB

I tried to beat Berserk 9 but I took the bait or the 2nd pawn 3....Qxa2? and I failed to immediately move my Queen back to 4.....Qe6 after 4.Na3!, Berserk 9 calculated for 8 more moves and ended up trapping my Queen

I tried to beat Berserk 9 but I took the bait or the 2nd pawn 3....Qxa2? and I failed to immediately move my Queen back to 4.....Qe6 after 4.Na3!, Berserk 9 calculated for 8 more moves and ended up trapping my Queen

Note: I knew where I made the blunder in the preview game, by Not playing my Queen back to 4....Qe6 immediately after the Knight move to 4. Na3 since I ignore the fact that it was going to play the Bishop next and trap my Queen with no more than 9 moves later. I decided to challenge Berserk 9 once again and it play the exact first 4 moves up to 4.Na3! but I was not going to fall for the same trap twice and this is the outcome.

I believe that a Rook Odds is too much as long as you are extra careful before you make your move since most of these top engines are too tricky and can calculate up to 16 moves or more when offering an extra pawn for bait as my first game showed me and thought me a lesson, of not to take any bait from top engines as long as your are winning in material. Simply play solid try to use all your pieces by developing your pieces fast and play very very careful.

Hi.

Now, the second game against Stockfish, removing the a1 rook.
A loss for me.

I just played badly. At no point did I activate my extra material.
After I exchanged my queen for two minor pieces, I thought my position was not that bad; but I see from Stockfish's evaluation that I was lost several moves before I realized it.

Hopefully soon, I am not sure when I will have time and energy.

Hi.

Now, the third game against Komodo, taking the a1 rook.
A draw.

Komodo's opening transposed into an exchange French, which I think is good for me in this challenge.
I missed both 15. Nd6 and 16. Bh7
The following complications were way above my head (I was just trying to avoid getting checkmated in the next few moves), so I was kind of lucky that Komodo settled for a perpetual.
