I don't want to argue about bans for anybody.

I was just pointing out that Carlsen has cheated at least once as well.

Getting unasked help is one thing, accepting it is another. It was cheating, even if the cheaters chuckled about it afterwards.

He made a mistake, that's right. Comparing this with intentional cheating is still ridiculous.

Intentional? Why do you have a bunch of titled players watching you play a money online tournament and kibitzing? Magnus certainly isn’t the only to do this. Seems it’s pretty commonplace in chess streaming. It’s certainly not “unintentional.”

Anyhow, whether intentional or not, cheating is cheating. Ridiculous are those who rationalize a difference.

Serious...did anybody say that? I don't think so....certainly don't recall anyone unless it was one of the 'Hans Cheerleaders' (each side has them). Pay no attention to cheerleaders from any side. They are just 'furniture'.

There is a clear difference between using an engine to cheat and a situation when some weaker player tell a stronger player that the stronger player can win the queen and the stronger player is surprised to hear it and ask how(maybe because he believes that the weaker player is wrong at the time of asking).

You are right that Carlsen cheated in the relevant game but intentional using of an engine is clearly worse and the punishement should not be the same.
