Whilst I appreciate the kind offer, I think the easier contigency is to borrow Cameron's Tandy 1650, however I would rather acquire a machine myself for a couple of reasons. Firstly I am loathe to borrow and therefore be responsible for someone else's prized possession - especially as this match could possibly take months to complete. Secondly, as I no longer have a Companion II, I'd like to re-acquire the program for nostalgic purposes.
That French website definitely indicates that the Chessman Pro plays legal chess, so it certainly isn't the machine I currently have. I'll consider trying to find a Chessman Pro, but if that does not work out, I can consider borrowing the Tandy 1650. The 1650 is - of course, identical to the Scisys Explorer.

well the Yeno 430XT can hardly be called my prized possession
i do after all have about 450 other computers you know
some of them even quite rare
