Hi Erik,

No, I told you it means Rye City in German. So, the name isn't Dutch, at least not exclusively. Some Dutch people have German names, such as Ed Schroeder.

I didn't remember that, but it makes more sense. "Burg" is like city, right? I think a Dutch gaming acquaintance must have been jokingly telling me rye castle.

My father's grandparents were Dutch - I'm pretty sure about that. Maybe it is a reflection of their friendliness, but more than one Dutch person has told me, "Look, you're Dutch, not German" - based solely upon the last name. Ha-ha!
