No, I told you it means Rye City in German. So, the name isn't Dutch, at least not exclusively. Some Dutch people have German names, such as Ed Schroeder.

My father's grandparents were Dutch - I'm pretty sure about that. Maybe it is a reflection of their friendliness, but more than one Dutch person has told me, "Look, you're Dutch, not German" - based solely upon the last name. Ha-ha!
