Rybka is judged by ICGA, as a private organization, or legally. What's this crap justice here (or some other forums)?
Kai, you are definitely mixing me up with someone else, no idea where you took this from. Nowhere did I "praise" Adam for such things, and I never wrote that the Rybka case shall be "judged here". I applauded to him taking an unbiased role and giving a survey that includes both views of the story.

Ok, you didn't "praised" him, you "applauded" his "objectivity" in the middle between lynching and adulation. Good.
Kai
No one reacted to this "objective" outrage written by Peter Skinner:
On the subject of Houdini participating:
I will leave this up to the _registered_ participants of CCT14.
If the majority of the participants welcome Rybka into the event, and Vasik chooses to participate, it will.
Peter Skinner
CCT TD
AFAIK CCT is acting under ICGA rules. AFAIK Rybka is banned permanently under ICGA. Houdini is not banned at all, but could be banned if examined according to ICGA rules.
What the hell is Skinner writing here? In fact, most folks on these issues on all involved forums.
Kai
we objected
he later posted rybka would not be entered
You mean that?
Peter Skinner:
No one who is currently registered wants Rybka to be allowed participation.

Thomas Mayer wrote:Again, as Roger already pointed out, only Vas could stop all those fruitless discussions, but as long he answers on everything "that is a private question which I do not want to answer" we will never have any light in that discussion. I have no idea why Vas acts this way since the beginning of all this, I mean it's about his business, his reputation and he isn't interested ? Or would the answer be even worser for him ?
I think that solving the open questions around the "Ippolit" engine family will, and must, be possible without the help of Vasik Rajlich. The document of Mark Watkins comparing Ippolit to R3 was a starting point upon which improvements might be possible as soon as we know which exact Rybka version to take for comparison.
Do you believe that anyone is interested enough to do all the work ? Usually the one who was cloned is interested, especially when his engine is commercial. But all we got is just a "it's a clone because I say so". We both agreed that this can't be enough, especially when we consider that we were told the same thing by the same person about another engine (Strelka) in the past.
Watkins report shows that the author(s) of Ippolit had at least some inside knowledge about Rybka, however that was achieved. Whether it can't be judged as original or not is still unclear.
As long the real authors or a team together with the real authors do not try to enter a tournament which have something similar then rule #2 of the icga nobody seems to be interested to finally clarify it. Anyone who trys to enter with an Ippolit follow up will be immediately refused to play as long he does not have the permission of the original authors. If they would have that permission I do not see any problems in participating. There is only one person that clearly could stop all those discussion but he definitely does not want to, because it is "private" or he "does not want to talk about it" or is "typed by hand".

Hello Thomas,
This is so blindingly apparent (that there is ultimately only one person who can do this) that I fear I must be insane when I read that there could possibly be an alternative solution.

Clearly, my statement about the non-existence of an agenda will scarcely be believed by those who know that there is an agenda but I offer it nonetheless.
Later.
Does this mean that the "Hyattian oligarchy" is a myth?

Hello Adam,
It is sheerest fantasy.
Imagine if you can, Fern getting agitated enough about anything to leave his vacation home and expensive wines in Paris.
Then on top of that, imagine someone like Dr. Hyatt having either the patience or skill set to organise unwilling perons such as myself or Fern to move in one direction.
Then, the ultimate in imagination, imagine me caring sufficently about any of this.
That is way more imagination than I have. It is amusing to read though.
