Hi Conner,

different explanation from the programmer of Fire are available.

For an user like me ...
At first ... what the programmer of an engine wrote.
At second ... what others thinking!

If we question this we are in the middle-ages ... witch-hunt!
We have to accept for a more silence community.

Only the programmer of Fire can give the information ... yes, my network file based on Stockfish.

Thinking on it:

At first the programmer of Fire have to give sources.
He do that ...

As next the network work from him.

I have no understandings for it, not after all that what Norman do in IPP times.
Houdini 1 based on this work to 99,9%.

The wrong person for witch-hunting if we like really the middle-ages!

My personal opinion about it.

And if you are right ...
OK, but no reason for others to create witch-hunting.
Time is over!

How many mistakes we all do in other life.
How many mistakes I do in my life ... a lot, why ... I am not perfect.

Best

The reason for renaming is obvious...
Actually someone who needs to rename other work to appear 'innocent' in the eyes of uninformed
persons should be a persona non grata, especially with all other things done in the past too.
Why spin things so maliciously?

I did not spin anything, you should ask yourself why Frank believes something different?
What might be the reason Frank was 'confused'? ;-)

And also count how often you changed the 'readme' until no one cared anymore.

The last change to readme was Jan.6

and yes Frank was incorrect, so what?
Why do you need to crucify others, other than a desperate need for validation of some sort?

I crucified no one and a lot of people obviously had the same impression like Frank.
It's just that you have that history all done by yourself.

To be fair, may be they all don't look at readmes with a certain length...and that it was changed several
dozens of times (53?) did not help, but only virtually increase a kind of commit activity which might impress
non programmers, who just look at the number of commits.

Good evening Günther,

I like the status "confuse".
Much more as to play against and against police-men.

People try to play police-men are very difficult.
Basic psychological knowledge!

Difficult is also an interesting status.
Must not be bad!

Unfortunately, with a lot of such persons I had contacts during my activities in computer chess.
But no one privented me in the work I do.

Why, not important for me!

But the status "confuse" is interesting.
Often helpful for complicated things, during the work best ideas will come if not all is clear for the first time.
Great for the own fantasy, I believe many programmers can confirm.

At first,

Dear Günther,

at second, please not forget it ...
Simple ettiquette!

1.
The red light ...
More interesting for the admins from TalkChess as for myself.

forum3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=79949&start=10

2.
The red light ...
If you know what I get here for secret information by programmers comes from other programmers.
My connections works fine, all the time.

:-)

This is a dark red light.

I like what you wrote here in your first sentence but it is a art to recognize.
Why have so many persons problems with "Conspiracy Theories"?

I will give you my honestly opinion about it.
Every year a bit more "Kindergarten" ... not more not less.

Hi Norman,

what should I do?

You are the programmer of Fire ...

Rename to Fire 8 MC.3 NNSV
"Fire includes 'Raptor', a top reinforcement learning network trained by Sergio Vieri"

But if I do that I have to rename:
Dragon x NN (Komodo) to Dragon x NNDK (Komodo).
After all I understand it comes from Dietrich Kappe (maybe I am wrong here).

And the long day I have to rename engine names again and again and all the statistic *.txt files from the tourney.
All the round-by-round files ... and many others need for statistics.

For changed Stash 32 to Stash 32.0 in my databases and *.txt files (I found the mistake last week) I need around 5 hours.

Ah,

if we discuss about it ...

What is with Halogen?
the older v10
and the current dev versions.

I read that the network file based on Koivisto?
Found that last week on a site ...

So I have to rename Halogen to NNKo?
