Meet the latest and greatest Zahak, version 7.0 with NNUE:
https://github.com/amanjpro/zahak/releases/tag/7.0
More details are here in this article: https://zahak.amanj.me/posts/meet-zahak-7/
TL; DR; the trainer is written from scratch, the data is from self-play, and you can train different nets with provided tools if you like
Elo estimation: +190 over Zahak 6.2

This is indeed great news and your cooperation with Aryan makes it even greater.amanjpro wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 4:25 pm Meet the latest and greatest Zahak, version 7.0 with NNUE:

Edit: I can't find the network file.
Edit 2: I have found a default.nn but is that really so small?

The default network is embedded, but you can still load alternative networks

Does that mean that I may leave the parameter field for NNUE empty?

Ed, I am a bit puzzled about your version numbering?Rebel wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 12:34 am
Benjamin 1.1 - Improved Playing Style and Strength.
Changes:
1. Improved King Safety or said better : improved King Attack.
2. Nullmove improvement.
3. Better tuning.

What happened to Benjamin 2.0, which was already 'released' in 2020-10?

Re: New engine releases & news 2021
It was a fun and misunderstood engine.
Misunderstood because some people started to play games with it and then complained about the results. Hence its removal. It was a fun tactical analysis engine just to show that playing games isn't the same as solving tactical shots. I am still toying with the idea to launch such a tactical engine as an second thread. I once did it with ProDeo 2.2, it gave elo but the communication between the threads wasn't stable. Maybe one day I will try again.

90% of coding is debugging, the other 10% is writing bugs.
