Uri believes in Rybka......

But after this.......

37...Bb4-c5 38.h4-h5 Ra8-f8 39.Bf4-g3 Rf8-f7 40.h5xg6 h7xg6 41.Rd1-f1 Qa5-b4

.......your machine WILL play Bh4 not Qg5 and it looks like this before it plays that.

[d]6k1/3p1r2/2b1prp1/2b5/1qP3Q1/1P4B1/2B1RPP1/5RK1 w

I think he is kinda missing the point Steve.

Uri if you are out there.......we are playing a machine and the machine cannot see that distant. It's more fun playing without engines anyway. If you insist although.....here is something better than Rybka after Qg5......

23/62 05:06 293.473.424 959.000 0.00 Bd4 Rd1 Qc5 Qxc5 Bxc5 Rdd2 Rh7 Be5 Rf8 Bxg6 Rh4 Rd3 Rg4 Rg3 Rxg3 Bxg3 Kg7 Bc2 Ra8 Re5 Bd4 Rg5+ Kf6 Bh4 Kf7 Bg6+ Kg7 Rg4 Be5 Bg3 Bxg3 Bb1+ Kf6 Rxg3 d5 Kf1 dxc4 bxc4 Rb8

Yes, that's right Uri......depth 23........in 5 very short minutes.

;-)

Hi Uri,
we really don't want to see engine analysis till after the game.
It does not motivate most of us.
Thanks
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

I do not participate in this game.

I think that the opponent in this case is simply too strong for humans with no help and
too weak for rybka

I decided to analyze the game with a computer only now in a bad position for black.

The game did not start out from the normal starting position and was not equal
the R30 was given the enormous odds of a pawn(b7) AND the move(White)
if the game began from the normal position i am certain the CCC forum would be winning by now
the R30 would probably have a losing position right out of the opening

I know that the game did not start from the opening position but I expect rybka to win against the R30 even with pawn odd.

Raf8

Because we are going to retaliate with this line...........

Raf8 Bg3 R8f7 hxg6 hxg6 Rf1 Qb4

It's about time we kicked this thing into touch boys.

You totally miss the point. This is just a bit of fun and for enjoying ourselves, winning is not everything. Relax and enjoy.
It is called "practice game", I guess practice against an expert competitor. I would have expected some sort of military organisation with Rybkas and 8+ cores. Subdivisions on PV, pondering and subsets on the next ply, and so on. I think Rybka alone could have won this game. Call it better "fun game to lose against a 2300 dedicated"
