o Hannibal gives up an endgame that EGTB's say is a mate in 19
o Richard has been doing a rewrite of the Baron and it has exhibited a different bug in each of two games.
o Chiron is off to a good start, but will it continue?
o Hannibal is the real wild card - One rd its is very good then in another something happens. It wins against Goldbar, then goes on a drawing spree.

Well, that is it for the 4th round. 3 more to go for today and then 3 more tomorrow.
Two different bugs in a row! The Baron is running 24/24 7/7 since several months here, and I sometimes find some buggy situations. It's a rare event anyway, maybe one bug per month, and they usually aren't heavy ones...
I was just chatting with Richard. The bug seems to be related to the number of threads running. he is using my 8 core machine and hopefully it will be fixed for todays games.
I just got a mail from Richard. He confirms it's a bug which shows itself on multicore machines. It doesn't affect my tests, as I run The Baron on a single thread. :)

Let us hope for next games... :)

The tie breaker rd is done:

Game 1 finished with a draw
Game 2 was won by Pandix
Game 3 finished with a draw.

With a final score of 2 - 1 in favor of Pandix, Pandix is the 2011 ACCA World Computer Rapid Chess Champion.

Best & TIA,
Ok. I found the page where games will be uploaded:

http://compchess.org/ACCAWCRCC/2011ACCA ... sults.html

And I remembered that I usually wait for few days.

Sorry for the confusion. This was my first post in a while.

Best & TIA,
They will be today - atleast today in my TZ.

It takes considerable effort to organize the event (which starts months before the first rd), work on my engine, consult with the people new to ICC and this type of event, enter the event, keep my engine going, watch the games, handle all the emergencies, call people in the mornings that are late, adjudicate all the debates, and .... So, I am a bit fatigued when the rds are over.

I will finish the web pages, collect the pgns and put them only today. Best to do that when not fighting fatigue. As I eluded, it takes months of effort to get to the point where people can download with a single click of a mouse.

If I came on too strong, my apologies. I took a lot of flak last year about it which makes me a little defensive.

I would like to know what people are doing with the pgns. I have ideas, but some of them people shouldn't be doing. I've seen game mistakes from misusing that data.

Thank you Charles. I have compiled the games of cc tournaments
for my tests group in last years. Cut and paste of the games, name
and date corrections etc took some hours, I know with own experience.
Therefore: take your time. No hurry. I'll check them regularly.

What I am doing with the games? In short, post-analysis.

I use fritz 12 and conduct full analysis, usually with Crafty, Rybka
or Houdini lately and with latest Mega Database. Just after the analysis,
I use my big 22+ million research database to search more opening
novelties. Time for a move for each engine were selected as 20 or
25 seconds. Perhaps I should try 30 or 45 seconds this time. I havent
used the data I have collected in my cc test books so far, but will in a
later point of time.

I have all the games except one.

It is from round 2 on Saturday morning: Bobcat2X vs Crafty which was drawn.

Can somebody email me this game or post it here?
