Why is no one asking for Ferret from Bruce Moreland? One of the best engines of its time - and never even published. "I" still crave that (and couldn't care less about any Rybka).

Yes, Ferret was another monster during the past !
But however,
Ferret was never a public chess program, like Hydra etc...
Mostly of the chess friends have interest more on available top chess programs...like Rybka, Stockfish, Komodo etc )
And I think that,
This is the main reason about why can not see much comments over private creators
In other words,
Feret's author did not give us the chance to love his program...

Original means from the origin, but there are not anymore origins for nothing. It was already done.
Vasik just did what ANY developer in ANY terrains does, which is to take what is there and trying to go further.
If he committed a sin was -it is said- not to say loudly enough what was the basis of his development.
It amazes me that is tacitly pretended that to win the original title of the year it is presumed -tacitly- you must invent a new ABC. But there is only one string of ABC.

My impression was then, years ago, the same as it is today; vasik created such amount of envy and rage that something was searched to bust him and they found those Fruits lines or parts that obviously must be there, in fact, must be and probably they are in ANY modern engine, as any modern car use 4 wheels as the first invented.
