Thanks for the new update Chris. Any estimation of the strength update of the new engine?

Hi Damir,

I have not done any extensive testing of this version so i can't estimate the strength. However, Yoshie2000's test results relating to the 2 patches added are here:

https://github.com/Yoshie2000/PlentyChess/pull/494
https://github.com/Yoshie2000/PlentyChess/pull/495

Looks like the author has just updated the engine to 8.0.10 few secs ago...but i have to go for some weekend breakfast with wifey. :)

I'll compile later...

I increase time control to 60 + 0.6 and there is small gain now (UHO book):

Code: Select all

1 PlentyChess8.0.9 +4 +107/=191/-102 50.63% 202.5/400
2 PlentyChess8.0.0 -4 +102/=191/-107 49.38% 197.5/400

Bmi compile speed for 8.0.9 is 80% of 8.0.0. Very good, when exe is 60 % bigger!

Hello,
Do you have an estimate as to when version 8.0.10 will be released?
Thank you,
Flavio/
